Voter's guide on Election Day 2021



Election Day is here and ballots in Grant County must be turned in to a ballot drop box by 8:00pm (20:00). In this election voters will get to vote for local political offices and Statewide - Advisory Vote No. 36, No. 37 and No. 38 Results will be available after 8:00pm tonight once all the ballots are delivered to the auditors office in Ephrata.


Tracking your ballot


After dropping off or mailing a ballot, Washington voters can track the status of their ballot by visiting VoteWA.gov. Voters must sign in. On the navigation bar, select "Ballot Status." Information includes when the ballot was sent, when it was returned, and its current status.


Key Races to watch tonight


Tonight there are handfuls of candidates running for positions across the county here are the biggest key races to watch for tonight.


Moses Lake - Most key races to watch in Grant County are in Moses Lake where those residents will be choosing new city council leaders in position 1,2,4, and 5 , a levy for the Moses Lake School District, new Moses Lake School District Board Members positions 1,2, and 5.


Ephrata - In Ephrata voters will decide on the next Mayor, along with City Council positions 1,2, and 3. Voters will also decide in the next Ephrata School District School Board position 3, 4, and 5.


Mattawa - In Mattawa voters will decide on the next Mayor, along with City Council positions 3, 4, 6 and 7. and School Board leaders in positions 2 and 5, the importance of only the Wahluke School District is that voters from more than one county will be voting for these candidates.


Quincy - In Quincy voters will decide on the next Mayor, along with City Council positions 3, 4, 6, and School Board leaders in positions 7, 1 and 5.

Washington State vote entirely by mail and holds no in person voting booths. Here are the drop box locations in each city/town.


Moses Lake - City Hall / Civic Center 321 Balsam St. (drive through at the back just before city payment drop box)


Ephrata - Grant County Courthouse 1st &CSt.NW (Parking lot A)


Soap Lake - City Hall 239 SE 2nd Ave. (across the street)


Royal City - Confluence Health (next door) 101 NE Camela St.


Quincy - Public Library (in parking lot) 208 Central Ave. S


Mattawa - Hospital 210 Government Rd.


George - City Hall 102 Richmond Ave.


Warden - Community Center 115 N. Oak St.


Coulee City - City Hall 501 W Main St (across the street at the flag poles)


Grand Coulee - Grant Couty PUD Office 555 Grand Coulee Ave.
