Lockdown after Potential Threat at the International Paper Plant in Wheeler, (East Moses Lake)

MLPD Police are performing a 24/7 surveillance at the International Paper factory in Wheeler in East Moses Lake because of a recent threat.
According to the plant, a recent employee who was hired to work a temporary position was asking to seek permanent employment employment at the factory. The employee made the threat and managers were notified if the situation late Wednesday morning (Aug. 21st).
The employee has since been terminated and the plant is on a partial lockdown.
The lockdown consists of a 24-hour police presence and all doors are to be closed and locked. MLPD have contacted the subject who made the threat but no other arrests have been made. The lockdown is expected to last two weeks. More on the situation as it unfolds
