10 buildings lost due to a wildfire as the small town of Lind being told to evacuated

The town of Lind is under a Level 3 evacuation as a wildfire has burned ten building in the rural town 32-miles northeast of Moses Lake and inhabits a little over 500 people. The growing wildfire is burning 3-miles south of town. The fire is currently burning 2,000 acres, according to the Washington State Fire Marshal. According to Avista 183 customers in Lind are without power due to the fire.



WSDOT have reopened US 395 in the area and have crews on standby if the fire warrants a closure. State Route 21 is also open but be advised there are some low visibility areas.
