— Downtown Moses Lake, WA
A candidate forum will be held Monday October 7th in downtown Moses Lake. The forum starts at 6 p.m. and goes to 8 p.m. inside the Moses Lake Civic Center auditorium, located on Balsam Street. The event is available to all residents who are and aren’t registered to vote.
Candidates from both sides that are running for local races have been invited and include:
13th District state representative, Position 2: Steve Verhey and Alex Ybarra
Grant County Fire District 5 Commissioner No. 3: Pat
Hochstatter and Lee Creighlow
Moses Lake School District board director No. 1: Richard Hanover and Shannon Hintz
Moses Lake School District board director No. 3: Susan Freeman and Greg “Speedy” Nevarez
Moses Lake School District board director No. 5: Bryce McPartland and Shaun Hagerty
Ballots for the Nov. 5 general election will be mailed out on Oct. 16. Residents can still register to vote easily at votewa.gov or at a local county elections department in Washington State a resident can be the age of 16 to register.
