Drive by shooting damages two homes in Peninsula neighborhood in Moses Lake Friday afternoon

A drive by shooting in the Peninsula neighbored of Moses Lake has left two homes damaged with one home having minor damage.
The shooting took place just before the 4:00 hour at the corner of W Texas St. and Russell Ave. MLPD said that the suspect’s vehicle was heading south on Texas Street and turned left onto Russell Avenue where six rounds of ammunition were fired, striking two homes.
MLPD said that a babysitter was inside one of the homes when the shooting took place. Nor she or the baby has injuries nor does anyone else in the house and second home fired at.
The suspect or suspects have not been apprehended and authorities are trying to get information on what the suspect(s)‘s vehicle looks like.
Detectives said that both houses don’t have any gang affiliation and don’t know what the motive was to target the homes. Many residents on W Texas St herd the gunshots but thought they were people do construction in a home at first.
