Electrical fire at ML Civic Center cuts power and closes facilities until further notice

An electrical fire this morning at the City of Moses Lake's Civic Center Complex resulted in the facility's closure until power is restored. This includes all Complex buildings and departments: Community Development, Building and Planning, the Museum, Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services, Utilities, and the Police Department.

According to the city, employees have been sent home until power is restored. Repair work is expected to take several hours. Grant PUD is working to isolate an underground fault and then make repairs.
