GCSO searching for individual tied to a shooting Thursday night in Moses Lake on SR-17 and I-90

Grant County sheriff’s deputies are seeking information about a shooting that happened Thursday night just before 11 p.m. The victim's vehicle was traveling south on SR-17 when a vehicle merged from the I-90 off ramp and came up alongside the victim's vehicle.

A male passenger of the merging vehicle made a gun-pointing hand gesture at the victims. The suspect vehicle with headlights off then followed the victim's vehicle south on SR-17 to about Road 3-Southeast when a bullet was fired by occupants of the suspect vehicle, shattering the rear window of the victim's car. The suspect vehicle continued south on SR-17. Evidence collected confirms a bullet was fired. A female passenger in the victim's vehicle was struck by glass fragments. Her injuries are non-life-threatening.

The victims say they do not know the occupants of the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was described as a black 4-door sedan. A male passenger was described as heavy-set and Hispanic. There is no other description information available.

Anyone with information is asked to call MACC 911 at 509-762-1160 regarding case number 21GS05413. Tipsters can remain anonymous. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says do not post any tips on social media as the suspect can see the tips as well.
