GCSO tentatively identify three youth who vandalized fairgrounds causing $20-25k worth of damage

Grant County Sheriff Officers have tentatively identified three youth who vandalized the Grant County Fairgrounds, causing upwards of $20 to $25,000 worth of damage.


MLWA 7 News spoke with the Grant County Fairgrounds Director Jim McKiernan and said the damages are covered under insurance and will plan on restitution from the three individual's insurances. According to McKiernan, the incident accord between 9:00 pm and midnight Monday. The cost of the lights alone totaled $17,000 in taxpayer funds. The individuals went to the History Barn and damaged all the windows and damaged portions of the food booths along with other minor damages across the fairgrounds.
