K9 Grizzly helped arrest felony in Moses Lake North

A man wanted on felony warrants was apprehended with the help of Grant County K9 Grizzly Wednesday morning near Moses Lake North. Grant County Sheriff Deputies were investigating a theft in progress in the 1300 block of West Craig Street in the Larson Neighborhood. When 31 year old Tomas Quintanilla was inside the home, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.


Thomas Quintanilla has a warrant for his arrest and was wanted for second-degree burglary and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm

According to the Grant County Sheriffs Office. Quintanilla refused to exit the home and Sheriff Deputy Dave De La Rosa released K9 Grizzly into the home. When Grizzly entered the home he chased Quintanilla down a hallway.


Quintanilla then reportedly locked himself in a bedroom to avoid the police dog. Sheriff Deputies warned Quintanilla that Grizzly would be released into the bedroom if he didn’t cooperate. Quintanilla surrendered and was taken into custody and was booked into the Grant County Jail on his outstanding warrants.
