More holes were discovered on the Vantage freeway bridge that carries the 90 freeway across the Columbia River.
The holes were discovered on the right shoulder lane on the westbound side of the freeway and was confirmed by WSDOT. The department of transportation then stated that,
The holes do not compromise the structural integrity of the bridge. The damage is only limited to the road surface as the bridge deck is primarily comprised of cross-sectional rebar.
WSDOT crews should have the holes sealed and prepared by Monday night. Until the repairs are made the westbound side of the bridge will be reduces to one lane throughout the bridge.
