Moses Lake man in court today after being charged for third-degree rape on Feb. 8th
47-year-old Christopher H. Weitman of Moses Lake will appear in court for raping a 16-year-old in his Moses Lake North home on February 5th. According to the Grant County Sheriffs Office Weitman sexually assaulted the teenager and the teenager kept saying "no" or didn't respond to questions asked by Weitman.
The call to dispatch came in from the teenagers friend an out of state resident visiting. Weitman was officially charged three days later on February 8th with third-degree rape. Weitman's first court appearance will be on Monday in Ephrata.
