PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY - SEWAGE RELEASED INTO PARKER HORN (Moses Lake)

A public health advisory has been issued for the waters of Moses Lake west of the Stratford Road Bridge due to a sewage spill from a broken sewer line in the area of the 300 block of Northshore Drive.



The break was discovered around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening and was verified around 8 p.m. The exact amount of sewage that was released is not yet known at this time, and that topic will be addressed by the City of Moses Lake Thursday morning.

The Grant County Health District (GCHD) is issuing an advisory until further notice; people should avoid lake water in that area, and also not use lake water for irrigation.
