- Quincy, WA

A Quincy man was apprehended in links to organizing a betting ring for the Super Bowl taking money from Grant and Douglas counties.

69-year-old Quincy resident Ricardo Garces was taken into custody Thursday and had his trial held in Douglas County for counts of leading an organized crime, collecting an unlawful debt, keeping gambling records and second-degree professional gambling.

According to NCW Life News out of Wenatchee, State Gambling Commission investigators say that Garces ran a $20,000 Super Bowl betting operation in 2018 and 2019. The ring allegedly took in money from bettors in East Wenatchee and Moses Lake.
