Students to hold mini store sale at CBTECH Feb. 29th

- Moses Lake, WA

The students at the Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center's Entrepreneurship and Marketing class have created mini businesses where they will be selling clothing and home decor.

The sale will be held on..

Saturday, February 29th

9:00am - 2:00pm

The event is geared to help students learn the aspects of running a business along with gaining customer, communication skills and money management.

"The goal behind the mini stores is for students to earn a $500 savings account. The students have been learning money management skills from Dave Ramsey's Foundations in Personal Finance. This is a way for them to learn how to run a business, save and plan money responsibly."

Said Melody Jenson, CBTECH's Entrepreneurship and Marketing Instructor.

During the event the students will also be selling deserts and beverages prepared by the culinary program. The gaming program will also be open during the event offering "The Game Room" a place where parents can drop off their children to play games made by the gaming program students while they shop.

The cost for The Game Room is $3.00 for 1/2 an hour and $5.00 for 1 hour.

The students are currently creating advertisements to build attendance for the event and is encouraging others to spread the word.
