UPDATE: 9:23pm : According to MACC Dispatch the scene is cleared and there are no more threats or danger to the public. There were no devices found.
Officers are responding to an Ephrata Walmart in regards to an unconfirmed report of a suspicious package found in the parking lot. According to eyewitnesses accounts the store was evacuated by employees for precaution.
One eyewitnesses stated on a social media post
“I don't know the specifics beyond hearsay, but I heard that a backpack was found beeping and making noises in the parking lot unattended,” an individual wrote on social media.
We cannot verify these reports at this time but do have team members gathering more information as it becomes available.
