Well known and beloved local swim instructor Tony St. Onge passed away today. The Moses Lake Manta Ray Aquatics announced the news late Friday evening. St. Onge was well known in the community as a swim instructor at Moses Lake High School, where the school's new pool was named after him.
The Manta Ray Aquatics Facebook post stated the following: "It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of the GREAT Tony St. Onge. After fighting off cancer over the last year, Tony has dealt with numerous health complications that increased in severity last week. Today he left this earth peacefully but will never leave the hearts of those still here. R.I.P. my friend, you will be greatly missed."
Many tributes are coming in remembering St. Onge and the legacy and inspiration he left in the city of Moses Lake, and with his students at Moses Lake High School.
