The Washington State Patrol and the Washington State Department of Transportation are informing drivers to follow the restrictions the pass your traveling on has or face fines.
WSP says if drivers do not follow pass restrictions including speed limits and is in fault of causing a collision drivers will face fines of up to $503.00. Trooper Rick Johnson said
“On our state passes WSP would like to be very clear that there will be no tolerance for any vehicle that does not adhere to WSDOT’s restrictions for the mountain pass. It is those that don't follow the restrictions that cause pass closures!”
Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) and Stevens Pass (US-2) are expected to receive up to 30” starting tonight and into Sunday.
